| Dear Little Baby To Be: I was right, I didn't ovulate last month. Fortunately, our RE prescribed Provera and just like he said, AF came the day after I finished the prescription. That was on December 31, 2000, the last day of 2000. So we began our quest for you yet again. This has been a rather sad month. Little Louie (I will show you pictures of him someday) our little 14 year old rescued kitty has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. Daddy and I have been so sad and are doing our best to give him all of the love that he can tolerate right now. I love all of our pets so much, but Louie is very special. Mommy & Daddy have been force feeding him and giving him Sub-Q fluids and heart medications for 3 1/2 years. He is a very special little guy and we can't imagine life without him. On a happier note, I took Clomid on cd 3-7 and then had an ultrasound on cd 12. Little Baby, I was so worried about the ultrasound (it is quite embarrassing) but I would do just about anything to bring you into our world! It wasn't so bad after all and things looked promising. I had a 30 m follicle on my left ovary and a 23 mm follicle on my right ovary. (I can't help but be hopeful that you are inside one of those follicles waiting to begin your journey into this world.) The RE said that this was good as they are looking for anything over 22 mm to trigger ovulation. My lining also measured at 11 mm which is good as well. (Anything over 8 is good). So we went home that night and Daddy gave me a shot of HcG to trigger ovulation. Daddy was very nervous about giving me the shot and I was really scared too, but it didn't even hurt a bit. (Daddy was very good). So here we are exactly 48 hours after ovulation (and hopefully conception) and I cannot wait to see if we got lucky and that you will be coming to meet us on October 7, 2001.
