As Expected--Negative Beta

I already knew it. I knew my beta would come back negative today....knew it deep in my heart. How did I know it, you ask? Well, because I spent about $100 on pregnancy tests this month. I was crazed again! I was taking them 2 and 3 times a day. Anyway, they were negative (after the hCG injection had worn off) so I knew what to expect today. However,, deep down inside I had a glimmer of hope...that maybe all of those tests were wrong.

But alas they weren't. So onward and upward. We want to try IVF again as soon as possible. However, they said we have to take a month off.  That means starting in October sometime with retrieval and transfer sometime in November. It seems so far away!!! It is depressing. I am so very thankful, however, to have insurance that covers most of this procedure. Without it we would not be able to even try. I am very thankful for that. I guess that is why I am not overly upset over this not working. I have so much to be thankful for...and I just know in my heart eventually, I will be a Mommy.

The Day is tomorrow...I think IVF #1 was a BUST

I have been anxiously waiting for tomorrow to arrive since I had my transfer. I tried to be very good to protect the three babies in there. I stayed off work and on bed rest for the day of transfer and the next day but had to go back to work the following day. I have been careful to try to avoid "jarring motions" and to not lift anything over 15 lbs. I have taken my baby aspirin, dexamethasone, and prenatals religiously...and I have prayed.

But guess what....none of it mattered. I am currently 9 days post 3 day transfer and I have had negative pregnancy tests all week. Really, really negative tests. I know what a faint line looks like....and there is NOTHING on these tests.  At least I won't have to be surprised tomorrow...I have my Beta at 8:00 am.

I am going to call the nurse right after the test and tell her that I already know that my test is negative and see when we can see the doctor and get started on IVF #2.
