Eleven Weeks...Physical Therapy Required!

Well, it looks like Baby Jack is going to be headed for physical therapy this week. Last week my Mom noticed that his little head is always tilted to the left. (Neither Paul nor I really noticed this....it just seemed like he was learning to hold his head straight...we never noticed when he tilted it to the side...it was always to the same side!)

We took him to the pediatrician's office and she said that it looked like a mild case of a common problem that babies have. Apparently they are in utero with their necks bent a certain way, so when they are born, they tend to hold their necks in that same position (as it is more comfortable) and then the tendon on the side that they bend their head toward stays short. (In looking at a lot of his earlier pictures we see that he had been tilting his head slightly to the right from the day he was born)

So after having his spine x-rayed (to rule out a congenital abnormality) and having that come out fine, he is scheduled to begin physical therapy this week. Poor little baby!
Oh, at 11 weeks old, he weighed 15lbs 15oz. He is getting HUGE!!!!

Milestones: On his 11th week birthday, Jack rolled over from his tummy to his back three times in a row!!!
