On July 8th we drove to Cleveland for Jack's photo shoot for an American Greetings card. The photo shoot took place at the American Greetings Headquarters. We arrived at 9:00 am and they took us back to one of the studios where we dressed Jack in a white sleeper that they had available so that he would look "unisex'.
They laid him on a table set up to look like a bed, and covered him with some blankets and took some pictures. They were hoping to get some pictures of Jack sleeping...and he cooperated. About 30 minutes into the shoot, he got sleepy. I took him to a small room off to the side and nursed him until he fell asleep.
We put him back into the little "bed" and they shot for another hour. All the while little Jack stayed sleeping. (Mommy had to keep singing "Rock-a-Bye Baby" the entire time to keep him from waking when we had to move him around). When he woke...he was as happy as can be...so they took some more photos of him sitting up. They also took some feet shots. (His feet are as cute as can be.)
His pictures looked darling (we could see them on a computer as they were taken.) He is soooo cute, I can hardly believe he is mine!
We were there for over two hours...and Jack was as good as can be. He never cried once...and really seems to LOVE the attention. He really likes to be the center of attention and has no fear whatsoever of strangers. He is a great little model!
They told us that he would be on a card, or gift bag sometime next year...and to start checking the WalMart and Target stores this fall as they carry the new lines of baby cards first. How exciting...little Jack on a card!
We took the opportunity to visit with my sister who lives in Bay Village while we were in the Cleveland area. We got to see her house for the first time...and we even took Jack and cousin Olivia to the "beach" (Lake Erie) for a little dip after lunch. It was a wonderful day!
