Jack got his 5th and 6th teeth last weekend (upper ones). He really loves his solid foods. He is eating about 1/8 cup of oatmeal cereal and 1/3 jar of vegetables at each feeding. We feed him solids twice a day. Because we waited until he was just about six months old to start solids, he ate like a pro from day one (he never had trouble with pushing the food out of his mouth or with the chewing motion). He still has no desire to roll over (he can do it, he has done it but just has no desire to do it). He just cries when he is tired of being in a certain position and either Mommy or Daddy pick him up. Jack can sit up on his own without a problem and can lean forward to pick up toys and pull himself back into a sitting position. He loves to be sitting up or to be held in a standing position. He laughs out loud when tickled. (He is ticklish on the bottoms of his feet, the inside of his thighs, on his tummy, and under his arms.) He smiles when he sees Mommy or Daddy or Nana. He is a happy little baby...though he lets you know when he really wants something with a very shrill scream. (This is new) At his six-month appointment Jack weighed in at 22lbs 6oz (off the charts) and was 28 1/4 tall (I think they measured him short...but that is off the charts as well). He is a very very big baby and I am soo in love. I love my baby more than anything in the world!!! |
