Little Mary Katherine is really starting to grow. We had a long 9 days in Florida (Disney World for 9 days....all of the details will be included in a separate post) and she has been so active. She twirls and kicks. I am really starting to love this little girl....and I feel terrible for wishing that she was a boy at first.
I love feeling her little self moving around...and I would just die if anything happened to her. I am actually becoming quite attached to this little being. (see note below)
At our last peri visit (August 29th) she was measuring great for her age (2.2lbs and on schedule to be another 8 1/2 lb baby, like Jack). Everything looked good at the visit with little Katie (or "Kat" as Jack insists we call her). It was funny, because the tech told us that her head was down and her bottom up in the left-hand side of my uterus and her feet over on the upper right-hand side of my uterus....EXACTLY the position that Jack was in for most of my pregnancy with him!!!
I didn't pass my Gestational Diabetes Test...so need to take the 3-hour test this week. I am hoping that I pass this test (I did with Jack).
I can't believe in less than 3 months we will be meeting our little baby girl. I have a very hard time connecting with my babies when I am pregnant...but know that I will just love her more than anything as soon as she is born (just like I did with Jack.)
Jack, on the other hand, is sooooo in love with his sister. He talks about his baby sister all of the time. He wants to save suckers, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for her, pick out Halloween costumes for her (he picked out a cat costume for himself and a scary mummy thing with red glowing eyes for his baby sister), and is just so excited about "his baby." He wants to look at every baby...and touch babies, and talk about when he will have a baby sister and how he will love her and take care of her. It is soooo sweet. At Disney, when making a wish at the Cinderella breakfast, our niece was wishing for "lipstick and nail polish" and Jack closed his eyes and held his sword over his wishing star and said, "a baby, a baby, a baby."
I am so happy that he will have a sister...they will always have each other and that makes me so happy inside.
